August 5, 2026, Beijing, China – Renesas Electronics (TSE: 6723), a global semiconductor solution provider, announced today that it will showcase a range of advanced solutions for embodied intelligence, industrial robots, service robots, and AI development platforms at the China Embodied Intelligence Robot Industry Conference and Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as: EAI Show). This year’s EAI Show will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from August 12 to 14, and Renesas’ booth number is N3 Hall, 3B230.
As artificial intelligence technology accelerates its penetration into the physical world, edge intelligence and physical AI are becoming significant growth opportunities for Renesas. The humanoid robot market shows great potential for development. A humanoid robot is not a single product but a complex system composed of multiple interconnected subsystems such as “brain/sensing, sensing, execution and power management”. Leveraging its expertise in embedded processing, analog, power and connectivity, Renesas has established a solid foothold in this market and will help customers accelerate the development of robot systems and the implementation of ecosystem applications through semiconductor solutions covering the entire “sensing, control, communication and power management” chain, as well as the Renesas 365 software platform.
In response to the demands of embodied intelligent robots for high-performance computing, real-time control, precise perception and reliable connectivity, Renesas will showcase a number of solutions for robot applications at this exhibition, including:
Sensor fusion dexterous hand solution
This solution is designed for intelligent robots and edge AI applications, integrating multi-modal perception capabilities such as vision, touch, and force perception. It supports object recognition, force judgment, and adaptive grasping control. Through the synergy of local AI inference, precise sensor feedback, and motion control, this solution helps enhance the operational stability, safety, and interaction experience of dexterous hands in complex scenarios. The solution integrates Renesas RZ/V2H processors, sensor signal regulators RAA2S4251, and touch sensing (capacitive sensors) RAA2S4704 hardware, and combines with the Renesas 365 software platform. It covers the entire process from design, development, deployment to management, monitoring, and OTA updates, demonstrating Renesas’ one-stop solution capability from hardware to software.
Robot Joint Solution
This solution is targeted at one of the key components of embodied robots – the robot joint. Based on the Renesas high-performance RA8T2 microcontroller, it supports applications such as EtherCAT industrial Ethernet, BLDC motor drive, and high-precision position sensing, and provides motor control algorithms, compact circuit design, and a complete set of design materials including source code, helping customers accelerate the development of robot joint systems.
RZ/T2H 9-axis Motor Control Solution
This solution is based on the industrial application-specific microprocessor (MPU) RZ/T2H developed by Renesas for motor control and master-slave multi-protocol industrial networks. With its powerful application processing capabilities and real-time performance, it can achieve high-speed and high-precision control for up to 9-axis motors, and supports multiple network master-slave communications including industrial Ethernet on a single chip.
Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Control Solution
This solution is based on the Renesas RA8T2 platform, supporting permanent magnet synchronous motors (24V), incremental encoders and EtherCAT slave stations (generated by Beckhoff SSC), and provides complete hardware design materials, user guides and sample code, facilitating customers to quickly evaluate and develop the RA8T2 industrial DC servo motor control system.
Robot joint encoder
This solution is based on the Renesas RAA2P3226 dual-channel eddy current position sensor, specifically designed for robot joint applications. It can simultaneously detect the positions at the motor end and the reducer end. Compared with traditional optical or magnetic encoders, this solution does not require magnets and has advantages such as resistance to stray magnetic field interference, high reliability, flexible design and high cost-effectiveness, which helps to improve the accuracy and stability of robot joint position detection.
During the exhibition, Raison Technology experts will introduce more highlights and application scenarios of the exhibits on-site, and provide technical consultation and communication for the visitors. Welcome to visit the Raison booth to learn more about the advanced solutions for embodied intelligent robot applications.
