Warning: Improper wiring or grounding can lead to signal distortion, module damage, or unpredictable field output behavior.

  1. External Power Supply Requirement: * Outputs require an external 24 VDC field supply (18–30 VDC range) to power field-side circuits.
    • Transceivers for inputs must be powered from an external source as specified by field instruments.
  2. Shielding & Cable Selection: * Always use shielded twisted-pair cables for all analog signal wiring to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI).
    • Ground signal shields strictly at one end (preferably at the sensor or carrier shield rail) to avoid ground loop currents.
  3. Load Ratings: Ensure connected loads on analog output channels do not drop below 5000 \Omega and capacitive loads do not exceed 1.0 \muF.
  4. Thermal Considerations: Maintain adequate ventilation around the I/O rack so operating ambient temperature remains between 0^\circC and 60^\circC.
